Privacy Policy

The provider of the "SocialHub" service (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users in the service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided in the app.

Article 1 - Personal Information

The term "Personal Information" refers to the personal information as defined in the Personal Information Protection Law, which refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions, as well as data regarding appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information that can identify a specific individual from such information alone, such as the insurer number on a health insurance card. This applies to information associated with social networking services (hereinafter referred to as "SNS") in the Service.

Article 2 - Method of Collecting Personal Information

We may store authentication information associated with SNS when users use certain functions such as notifications. We may also collect information about user usage for the improvement of the application. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics provided by Google internally for collecting usage information.

Article 3 - Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information

The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

• To provide and operate our services
• To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification)
• To send emails to users regarding new features, updates, and other information related to the Service
• To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, and other relevant information
• To identify users who violate the terms of service or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes and to refuse their use
• To allow users to view and modify their own registration information, as well as to view their usage status
• Any other purposes related to the above purposes

Article 4 - Changes to the Purpose of Use

We may change the purpose of use of personal information if it is reasonably determined to be relevant to the purpose before the change. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, we will notify users of the revised purpose through our designated method or disclose it on this website.

Article 5 - Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases, unless permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations:

• When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person, and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult
• When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them in performing the duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual may interfere with the performance of such duties

• Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of the information shall not be considered a third party:
• When we entrust all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
• When personal information is provided due to a merger or other reason related to the succession of business
• When personal information is jointly used with a specific individual, and we have notified the individual in advance or made it readily accessible to the individual, including the purpose of use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of the entities to jointly use the information, and the name or designation of the person responsible for the management of the personal information

Article 6 - Disclosure of Personal Information

When we are requested by the individual to disclose their personal information, we will promptly disclose it to the individual. However, if any of the following apply as a result of the disclosure, we may not disclose all or part of the information, and we will notify the individual promptly of the decision not to disclose:

• When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
• When there is a significant impediment to the proper implementation of our business
• When it would violate other laws and regulations

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we generally do not disclose information other than personal information, such as browsing history and characteristic information.

Article 7 - Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

If a user finds that their personal information held by us is incorrect, they may request us to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") the personal information by following the procedures specified by us. If we determine that it is necessary to respond to the user's request in the preceding paragraph, we will promptly carry out the correction, etc. of the relevant personal information. We will promptly notify the user when we have made corrections, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when we have made a decision not to make corrections, etc.

Article 8 - Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

If a user requests us to suspend or delete (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") the use of their personal information on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was acquired through unlawful means, we will promptly conduct necessary investigations. Based on the investigation results in the preceding paragraph, if we determine that it is necessary to respond to the request, we will promptly suspend the use, etc. of the relevant personal information. We will promptly notify the user when we have suspended the use, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or when we have made a decision not to suspend the use, etc. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if it is costly or difficult to suspend the use, etc. or if alternative measures that are necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user can be taken, we may implement such alternative measures instead.

Article 9 - Changes to the Privacy Policy

The content of this policy, except for matters stipulated separately in laws or in this policy, may be changed without prior notification to the user. Unless otherwise specified by us, the revised privacy policy will take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
